I sent in my ed plan this morning to the superintendent’s assistant’s office, but the real reason I know I’m starting a new chapter for summer is that I cut my hair. No one will notice because it still hits my shoulders, but hey.
Now the actual homeschool planning begins: I need to make the big plan into the monthly goals so that I can make the weekly goals, so that I can dump the whole plan out the window in November. K will be taking Spanish and Art, and Art History at GCT, Choir at Illuminate, Algebra, History and Spelling here, and Literature with our friends in a mini coop. I’ll be the mini coop’s Biology teacher, and K will be in that class too. There will be deadlines at GCT and the mini-coop, with other students. So biology will roll along in a tidy way.
History is the big, “now what?” subject. K likes narrative histories without too much head hopping in the narration. I’m thinking I can string some biographies together maybe? I need to give her drawing assignments, perhaps museum trips to see art from different areas and times. O, that feels hopeful. Let’s go with that plan.
You cut your hair! Wow! And it all sounds like a good plan!
