August 15, 2015 Family Fun Fair Caution Tape Maze

The Maze

We had another fun maze for this year. My oldest son, Benjamin, said that one weakness to our mazes is that the correct path gets more foot traffic, causing a visible trampled path in the grass.

The solution: make a maze that we could modify halfway through the fair, changing its solution!

Here is the maze in both configurations:

Here is the maze plan, with the grid and post markers.  The posts remain the same for both configurations.

The Crew

We had another wonderful teen age crew to set up the maze.

They worked together to lay out the maze,

Another team marks columns, working from the other side of the maze

Then they pounded stakes, and stapled the caution tape.

At noon, we had a grilled picnic lunch under the trees.

A special thanks goes to Carol and Gene, for driving up from Pennsylvania to help out with the cooking!

My daughter and I camped out in the field that night, to guard the bouncy house, tents, and the maze.  One advantage for K., was to be able to run the maze at about 6:30AM the next morning!

The Fun Fair

The caution tape maze is actually just one activity in the 2015 Family Fun Fair.  The Fun Fair is an outreach by Rehoboth Baptist Church, to tell the gospel to local families  in a fun way!

We are planning to have our next Family Fun Fair on August 13, 2016.

If you are in the area, and like music, bible stories, puppets, games, free food, bluegrass gospel music, and fellowship, please stop by!
