My hair froze on my way home from the pool. This solar Spring seems very theoretical.
I have been struggling to get K outside, so when Dan offered to take her to the zoo on Saturday, I was very grateful. There were two birthdays, a pot luck and the family of a sick friend to cook for, so I knew I wasn’t going to accompany her outside any time soon.
And he brought back photos for an easy blog post, it gets better and better!
They saw some crocus poking their noses out.
K and the meercats watched each other.
The lemers in the green house in the back had just jumped from the central platform, both Dan and K were impressed at the distance, they’d thought it would use the rope.
The snow leopard acted like an exciting carnivore, not an over hot cat who barely had energy to nap.
For his sake, I’m almost glad we’ve had such a cold, snowy winter.
The African lions didn’t seem to mind the snow, but they seem nappish.
K was amused that when I first organized this post, it was on my design blog. I guess it’s a good thing to model that grown ups make errors too, they are just good at fixing them. Like last week when I found myself saying “Grovelling is a life skill.”
This solar spring seems very theoretical– yes! I love how you put that.
Did you get lots of snow this year too? I’ve been depressed enough by our weather, I haven’t looked at yours.
