January without snow may look bleak and dreary, but when it smells like a thaw, it’s happy. We took a walk in the 58 degree (F) heat to pick up some exciting things at the grocery store – baking soda and peanut butter, and some pastries with gluten followed us home. I virtuously ate some gf toast.
The 10 mile river was high (snow melt I’m sure) we looked at the drainage from the road through the curb cuts, and tried to figure out if the high drain was so the water could filter through the grass, rather than go right to the storm drain, or some other plan.
Some day, I may shoot a knitting pattern photo on the bridge, the swoops are dramatic, though the red brick steeple is more exciting in person.
