I’m trying to remember my “keep the kids from melting” strategies.
Ice water, fruit frappe, play outside in the morning before it’s hot, find the summer clothes, and read stories at bedtime that make heat seem exciting. Swallows and Amazons is on order from the library, by the time K can read it to herself, I’ll probably get around to buying a copy.
I thought things would calm down after testing week, but Monday night is Financial Peace University at church (Dave Ramsey’s videos with discussion. Jokes and popcorn do a lot to get people talking about stuff they need to do.) And tonight is Co-op organization meeting.
Ice water anyone?
