Well, swimming has become the norm now. Unless K is told she isn’t watching a video while B is in charge, there are no more tears and goodbyes from each window as I walk to the Y. I did want her to get used to it all, right?
I’ve been enjoying the view of the bridge over the 10 mile river from my neighbor’s parking space as I walk to swim,
and being greeted near daily by the neighbor’s cat.
I do miss the neon green cross walk marker from inside the intersection on Main street. It made it easier to get driver’s attention so I could cross the street. They either took it down when the farmer’s market closed for the Fall, or when the hurricane was coming.
Last Friday K greeted me at the front door when I returned with one of her Halloween candies, gift wrapped. “This is for you Mommy, I love you!”
This story became slightly less heart warming when Dan told me she’d been howling until Ben found her the Scotch tape.
