Dan had the week off from work. We’d put 6 passes on reserve from the library.
But by Friday, we were tired, the laundry was piled up, and no one had bought groceries. So, we stayed home and did chores . It was actually a pleasant change from gadding about. Sort of. The next day was M’s Jr. F.I.R.S.T. Lego League Expo.
I’ll post the recipe source for our supper that day later on today, it’s the Sloppy Joe Pie I made on purpose this time.
Last time I was late starting dinner, so I decided to look in the freezer for left overs to save the day. I found a large yogurt container of “chili” Oh, chili pie, yum! As the “chili” emerged from the microwave, I thought, “that’s a funny texture for chili,” but I’d already made the biscuit crust (we were out of cornmeal). When the pie emerged from the oven and I called everyone to the table, I announced that it was chilie pie – then that it was spaghetti and meat sauce pie. We ate a few puzzled bites, when M announced it was sloppy Joe pie, and he wanted me to make it again for his birthday dinner, only with a thinner crust so it was easier on his braces.
I spent my blogging time writing e-mails, and I need to get homeschool rolling now, the kids are watching Pokemon at the moment, and I haven’t bathed yet. Bye!
