K needed something to do, preferably snow related, because her bedtime book on Sunday was Snowflake Bently, and then I let her look through our copy of Ken Libbrecht’s Field Guide to Snowflakes as she got sleepy.
I had lots of tissue paper from altering the dress pattern for the play costume this week. K can’t quite fold the snowflakes herself, but she certainly got enthusiastic about cutting them out. (And I got an uninterrupted shower once she got going) which made us both happy.
the effect is pretty, and funny with green grass in the background.
B is happy today, it’s his “Go do something with only him and Dad, Day,” at the New England Aquarium, with lots of hoggie sandwiches to fuel the fun.
(The way I name these sandwiches calls out my PA roots.)
M is really glad his time with vision therapy may be almost over.
Reading is still not fluent, but at least he does not lose his spot on the page like last summer, and I’ve got him (somewhat ruefully) to say, “I’m not reading fluently YET.” instead of, “I can’t read.”
Love the snowflakes AND the hoagies. Can’t believe how big your crew is getting!
B is taller than me and gaining on Dan. Whoa.
Two of our daughters are in vision therapy. It is helping them a lot. I like the idea of teaching her to say she is not fluent instead of I can’t read.
Blessings,
Dawn
I just have to remind myself that we are making progress when he’s so wiped out from therapy that it’s hard to fit regular school in.
We are hoagie eaters here, too! Your boy looks very pleased!
thanks, he did have a good day out
First I ate grinders (New Haven) and then hoagies (southern NJ). Now it’s subs (Boston)!!
Thanks!
Whatever we call ’em, they mean day out around here.
