Funny: I knew the power would go out, I didn’t expect it to take so long for it to come back. Fortunately, my Mom lives only a mile away, and has a freezer chest and grill. We “helped” her finish up the thawed meats.
Happy: Dan’s lab couldn’t do anything without power, so he stayed home. We were trying to think which town had power (and therefore coffee) when Dan thought of going to Sturbridge Village. We phoned OSV, and they were open (only the visitor’s center and bathrooms needed power anyhow.) Unexpected time with Daddy!
Pretty:
If it had been only up to me, we would have stayed around the house, fretting about when the power would come on, and what we were going to eat. But, Dan is good at thinking playfully, and finding me coffee.
Real: Dan moved the coat hanger onto the bathroom mirror to hang a flashlight where it could be reflected into the room, I photographed it after the power came back on, because it was hard to see in night mode with reality. His hack mean much fewer barked shins.
While we had to clean the fridge out anyway, Dan decided to clean it too. This while I was taking (only one!) kid shopping for fall clothes.
Maybe I should have titled this post the what Dan made of the hurrricane, not Irene.
I love your little girl’s braids! So adorable!
And what a great husband, finding you coffee! I would expect nothing less of mine! =)
Thanks, it was easier to comb the next day than regular pony tails too.
i just have to comment on your little “about me” blurb. too funny!
Thanks (blush)
