Appointmentville

If I’m not making new appointments, I’m trying not to forget to drive someone to an appointment.

The kid’s Family Practice Doctor has reluctantly told me to shift them to a pediatrician – they are the only kids in his practice, and the vaccines come in batches of 10 – a big loss for the practice.  Actually, the office manager told me to shift them to a pediatrician, our doctor wanted to keep us because the kids are so sweet and he will miss them!

When the principal for the elementary school read my narrative review of M’s year, she phoned me to remind me to get his eyes and ears checked as his reading is not coming along at a normal rate (no one’s does in my family, so I’d gotten a bit blaze about it).  Turns out he is far sighted, needs to do some binocular training on the computer with a special program I’m installing on the Windows computer right now, and looks like a dot com millionaire in his new orange and black glasses.  The hearing test is next month.  Wow, I actually did get some helpful suggestions out of a paperwork session with the public school!  She also suggested that I get a Nook or a Kindle, as I can load classic children’s literature, but adjust the font size and leading, but we haven’t tried it yet.

I’d better check the calendar, who knows where I’m supposed to be today.

PS this is the game M made to play with K while I was installing the vision software: looks like it’s time to push another button over there, bye.
