no, light-sabers
Whatever. But when the bad guy is dead they do have to give the rhubarb back, I only picked enough to make a pie.
My musings on our homeschool, coop, figuring out what my educational philosophy is anyway, and will I ever make curtains for the rest of the appartment?

How long does it take your rhubarb to get that big and tasty? I planted some our friends gabe us, and now (summer #2) it's still the size of a strawberry plant!
I think that rhubarb is a particularly large variety, but it has quite the history: I got it as a transplant from my Aunt S's garden when her 1st husband died suddenly about 9 years ago, and she thought she'd be moving soon,. and might as well clear out her garden of perennials. It came from her father's garden, after he'd moved to Florida and it lived 5 years without weeding or cultivating. He'd transplanted it from his father's garden in Long Island, where it had grown for about 20 years (or the stock it had been divided from had).
I divided it last Summer, the root stock was as broad as my hand. I think I'll be able to harvest some from the division next year.
If you ever come out in the Fall (New England Foliage anyone?) I'll dig up the division for you – though how you'd check that on a plane or keep it happy in a car I don't know.
