DH and our visitor just took all three kids and a picnic lunch for a drive to the shore. I have the house to myself. Oh the possibilities, let me not waste any more of the time in idle web surfing – though an old friend from Nyack going clear back to elementary school did just friend us on facebook – and he had links to other folks I haven’t heard from since 1985. Although, I’ve noticed that the friends that actually communicate through social networks tend to be the same ones who actually wrote letters – back when letters were the internet. The other ones, while certainly good people, are just much better at in-person friendship. Technology doesn’t change everything.
So – I NEED to catch up on laundry, take a shower, do the dishes, run the vacuum, plan and start supper.
I’d really like to put my craft desk into craft mode – getting it out of Lego Prep for co-op mode! which means sorting about 700 tecknics bricks into the kits they originally came from, sounds like a great time to listen to podcasts.
But I’d also like to write the next inch or so of instructions on the knitting pattern, fix the cable chart, learn how to make it pretty on Inkscape.
So, if I get the desk done, I could rub off that capris pattern. There is a good goal. I should also bake that cake I told the boys I’d do this week.
Oh the possibilities, let me not take all the time editing the post about what to do…
