But that hasn’t slowed us down like it should. Saturday we celebrated my Mom’s birthday with a trip to the Boston Science Museum, and dinner at the Cafe Belo in Everette with Cousins K,B and B.
Wow, Chuhaschu is amazing! From the just grilled perfectly meats to the vinegretche (a sort of salsa made with olive oil, diced tomato, pepper and onion in enough vinegar to slightly pickle them, but not enough to make them mushy), beans, rice, collards, fried bananas, to Mom’s birthday cake with fudge-y frosting made with sweetened condensed milk and a sparkler candle, the meal was wonderful.
While the kids, and Mom and K and B and I played in the discovery center, DH and B went to his work at Mass General. DH is not a lady in childbearing years, or a child still growing, so he was the only one in the family who could tour the Francis H. Burr Proton Therapy center behind the scenes (technically, Mom could have gone, but she said DH would enjoy it much, much more) I am officially inviting DH to write a guest blog about his tour.
He just said that the high light was seeing the 90 ton gantries and the proton accelerator.
OK, that counts I guess.
We dragged through Sunday, but only M fell asleep during the sermon, the first one on Romans. Pastor decided to make evening service be a question time about the sermon, since Romans can get very thick.
Off to read a story to DH and go to bed early. Hopefully we will be bright eyed and bushy tailed tomorrow, because we can go visit in Cambridge again and see cousin L and baby Z as well this time.
