Back in the Summer, I noticed how the volunteers at Blithewold sorted their Spring bulb choices by a game: cutting the photos of bulbs out of the catalog, then making piles of the bulbs that will go together beautifully in bloom time and color.. Apparently after they make their choices, they make a collage of the catalog clippings. Maybe I’ll do that with curriculum ideas next Summer, I like playing with little pieces of paper better than a list of ideas.
Meanwhile, my quest to make my crafting space work for me to craft in has resulted in some plans, and a tidier desk for now at least.
Last night I mended some clothes, sewed fake leather patches over a hole in a turtle neck so B could have a cool shirt to wear in the style of Han Solo, and moved the school stuff that had been loose or in cardboard boxes into closets where K can’t get into them.
Next to socks, she loves to mouth paper. For a baby who can’t crawl yet, she is really quick!
I also brought the houseplants inside from their summer sojourn in the garden, covering up the bare patches where the the poppies and tulips had died down. They should have come in last week, before the heat came on at night, but at least they missed the frost.
Your eggplants are beautiful. We had a bunch of petite ones, too, in the garden. Yum!
