WHY I GOT A POOR NIGHT OF SLEEP LAST NIGHT
I think I told you about the coyotes haunting the golf course not far
from me.
Last night about midnight I was awakened by scuffling outside my bedroom
window, the one towards the woods. I froze until I became aware it was
in the woods – breaking of twigs – and heard low growling and then
yipping. I figured the coyote had gotten a bunny or woodchuck. About
45 min later I was awakened again by the same noises. Then I was really
awake! I got up quietly and looked out the window and could see animal
shadows the size of a dog or so ( didn’t put on my glasses) in the yard
between the house and the woods. I began thinking about Buddy being here
and where I should walk him after dark and NEVER leaving him alone in the
yard on the leash. After the noises had stopped for 1/2 hour or so, I
turned on the light and read for a while. When the alarm went off, I
turned it off and slept another 1/2 hour.
There are so MANY reasons I can lose sleep!!! This is one of the most
unique, at least I hope its not repeated soon.
Note from Christine: Buddy is my cousin’s dog that my mom might be dog watching soon.
